ACCUPUTT was originally conceived by Ralph Blanchard, an entrepreneur and inventor with an MBA and a background in commercial aviation and Airport Management. An avid golfer, Blanchard was frustrated by inconsistent putting that could cost him games against his friends and his very competitive golfer sons, even when he was using the latest and most expensive putters on the market.
Looking for a good training device to help him sharpen his stroke, he found numerous systems that promised better putting, but they all seemed to rely on some form of track or guide that he knew wouldn't be there for him on the green. So he searched far and wide for a reliable training system that could replicate the on-green experience and he found nothing.
So he put pen to paper and began sketching a putter with an opening through the face, and a low-profile practice green that could shoot an invisible laser through that opening to guide his training without any misleading visual cues or hard guides to contaminate his natural stroke. After many months of designing, engineering, testing and tooling, the ACCUPUTT system was born!
ACCUPUTT uses a type-1 laser to shoot an invisible line down the center of the practice green - the opening on the special patent-pending putter must travel perfectly straight to avoid breaking that line. A green LED on the base unit shows when the laser line is unbroken, but if the putter strays at all from the perfect stroke, a red light is activated instead - giving the user critical instant feedback while they practice their stroke.
The aperture in the putter is even adjustable so that as a user's putting improves, they can continue to challenge themselves until their putting is pure, consistent, and deadly accurate.
ACCUPUTT is manufactured and assembled in China and conforms to all Regulatory and Trade criteria. ACCUPUTT will be available for purchase in March 2008.
